Victoria Line Embroideries

Most of my work is based on walking and what I see. I don't know if my day job this year has meant that I'm outdoors less and more eager to get home but I observe more on transport. These two embroideries show other commuters on the Victoria Line (I do have a preference for getting the train back home though...). From the top 'King's Cross to Brixton' and 'Pug on the Victoria Line'.

Some photographs of my two artworks 'King's Cross to Brixton' and 'Pug on the Victoria Line' at the Society for Embroidered Work exhibition at The Clerkenwell Gallery. Have a look on their website for more information on the artists involved.

Lecker Zine Issue 1

I'm really excited to have my 'Indian Sweets' illustration included in issue 1 of Lecker zine. The issue features contributions from over 30 writers, cooks, artists and people generally talking about food. The first edition has sold out but keep an eye on the Lecker website for the second edition, which will be released before Christmas. Lecker podcast was created by Lucy Dearlove in 2016 and I highly recommend listening to it! Front cover illustration is by Holly Gorne and my piece sits alongside a poem by Jennifer Obidike.

When Lucy sent out the request for submissions, I had just finished my risograph print of 'Indian Sweets' at Rabbit Road Press, so submitted it. My print is pink ink on yellow 160gsm card and comes as a signed edition of 10. It features all my favourite Indian sweets and is available to buy from my Etsy shop.

International Contemporary Stitched Art Exhbition

I'm really pleased to have two of my embroidery pieces exhibited in this upcoming group show organised by the Society for Embroidered Works. Set up by Cat Frampton and Emily Tull, the exhibition will showcase a broad range of artists working with embroidery. The two pieces I will be showing are observations of commuters during my morning or afternoon journey on the Victoria Line, a series I hope to continue with.

The show runs from Tuesday 12th November to Sunday 17th November, 10.30am to 6.30pm (Sunday 17th 10.30am to 1pm). Please do pop down during the times if you can and I'll be posting my work on here after the show.

Edible Flower Risograph Print

I've just added my Edible Flower riso print to my Etsy shop. A4 yellow and green inks on pastel green 160gsm card. Edition of 10, all signed and numbered and signed for delivery in the UK. This was made for a zine that didn't happen, so it's good to see it in print.
