I really enjoyed creating these illustrations of architectural elements of the Pelican Housing Estate for Big Family Press. The A3 sheet of drawings will be used as a resource in risograph workshops with Oliver Goldsmith Primary School at South London Gallery.
I've adapted my Brixton Village felt tip drawing into a riso print. Teal on cream (pale yellow) 160gsm card, each print is signed and numbered in an edition of 18. Available to buy from my Etsy or you can email me directly. £14 each which includes signed for delivery in the UK. I printed this at the ace Rabbit Road Press, London. I'll also be showing this print at Loop Open graphic design and illustration at LCB Depot in Leicester, running from 3 to 28 September 2018.

I'm making a set of 5 postcards of embroidered South London scenes for the £3 Christmas Bazaar which Nest Gallery will be taking part in, along with selling zines and some stamped celadon ceramic coasters. LOIS has a whole range of lovely things which I know you want to buy for Christmas (secretly for yourself) so go over, show your support and everyone's happy.
Every day into work last year, I'd pass the Heygate Estate when my train went through Elephant and Castle. From the train platform you could see the bordered up, empty estate and I'd always glance across at 'Now' 'Here' sprayed across two top bits. I've never been in there but it's somewhere I've past on the bus, train and whilst walking for the past eight years. This estate is due to be torn down and replaced by a New Heygate and questions have been asked about what percentage of the new building will be social housing.
On the 5th, 6th and 7th of April I will be participating in 'Progress in Work III' at Utrophia in Deptford with Tim Spooner and Stephen Fowler.
I'm looking for 'good stories' of Deptford to build up a collection, written and scribbled. I will be creating embroideries inspired by these stories. If you would like to participate and live in Deptford or have a link to it, please send me an email and I can forward you a template to print out, write and draw on.
I'll be updating this blog with more on details on the residency and glimpses of what I'm sent in

2. Coldharbour Lane

These are the three embroideries I created for 'The Great Outdoors' exhibition. I took walks and bus journeys around where I was living in Camberwell, photographing people and then making drawings of them. I wanted to capture quiet moments of ‘The Great Outdoors’ in an urban environment. There’s a lot going on, people going to East Street market, waiting for the 185 to Victoria, trying to avoid male harassment in the street or bumping into an old friend. I documented the hustle and bustle of Walworth Road, the area around Camberwell Green and Coldharbour Lane on my walk home to Southwell Road. I have created three embroideries, one from each of these journeys.
Thursday night was the launch of Limner #2 at Beach Gallery London. The publication was put together by Peter Willis and Alice Lindsay of Studio Operative.
I've got my illustration of 'Coldharbour Lane' from The Great Outdoors of South London series published alongside an illustration by the talented Dan Shapiro.
The issue contains 168 pages of wonderful illustration and writing from some very talented people including some awesome work from Rose Blake and words on procrastination from Nick White.
You can buy this treasury of joy Limner #2 directly from their shop here, where you can add Limner #1 to your shopping cart too.
