Imprint - Craft Central

Above are some pictures from Craft Central's Imprint exhibition which was part of the London Design Festival. There was a range of print-making on show from a variety of artists who use print in their practice. I had a few pieces on show in the foyer section of the show, detailing the process of producing a lino cut ceramic piece.I showed pieces from a view in Altrincham, a view in Bologna and a view in Haworth.

Got a mention on the UAL London Design Festival coverage here.

I invigilated the show and loved Kethi Copeland's London-inspired prints on paper and furniture, Regina Heinz's meticulous wall ceramics, colourful prints from Katherina Manolessou and Hannah Victoria Locker and Annabel Williams' printed and engraved hangings.

6x4

Nicola Prosser put together '6x4' which was exhibited at the Cooper Gallery Project Space in Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design in March. Over 600 postcards, from over 130 artists from 12 different countries were shown. The exhibition celebrated the postcard as an artistic medium in its own right and invited artists to submit of a 6x4 scale.

I sent over this embroidery of a scene of Bologna (which you might recognise from my ceramics I've posted on here).

Ceramic experiments

I've been trying out a few things in my Ceramics class. Stamps, coloured clay inlay and impressing lino into clay for decorative effect. Here are a few tester pieces. I'm going to make a few pieces using lino cuts I made of Bologna and Wales to practice decoration with them.
