The 'Science Fiction Ladies' I produced for the 'They Is Us' show last year is currently residing at the L Gallery at Wieden and Kennedy, Hanbury Street, London. Thanks to Sophie Vent for this opportunity.
My first illustration job was for Bosscards in 2008 and on Monday they had their soft launch as a online greetings card company. I created three illustrations when I was thrust out of art school and into the real world. You can have a look at the designs they created website on here - www.bosscards.com
'Eight Meals a Day' is printed on shades of pistachio, lemon, apricot, peach and strawberry ice-cream, with suggestions for each meal, inspired by the eating habits of friends and myself. Printed onto high quality 160gsm paper, these will be selling tomorrow at Zine Fest! 2011 at The Women's Library.
I've produced a A3 poster from selected pencil drawings I made in preparation for the Dialogo|Dialogue exhibition with Greig Burgoyne at the dalla Rosa gallery in March. I will be selling the poster on Sunday at the International Alternative Press Fair as part of the Nest Gallery table and on the 5th of June at the Sassoon Gallery, Peckham. Limited edition of 40.
Social history and tradition are key themes I investigate in my practice, so naturally this weekend was a good one for me. These photos are from my friend's street party and also from the May Day celebrations in both Deptford/Greenwich (Sunday) and Hastings (Monday).
Here are some illustrations I produced for the current issue of Eat Me Magazine for articles by Rosa Parks, Charlotte Hogarth-Jones and Coco Khan in The Chopping Board section.
This week is the last week of the show, if you can't make it north, here it is...also with the mole outside the gallery - we had a visitor name him Leo...I don't know who you are, but I'm sure you do!
Wednesday saw the launch of the long-awaited third issue of Shebang at 'Eagle Legs' at The Macbeth. Edited by Liv Willars and designed by Lynsey Woods, this light blue zine includes mixtape suggestions, an interview with Hope Roth, Eating in Edinburgh and a guide to both Barcelona and Melbourne.
