I showed this new embroidery 'Dwelling' with a new zine at A secret club/En hemmelig klub's 'Expedition No.1: The Eastern Forests' last weekend. Here's some pictures from the exhibition - you can see more on Facebook and their website.

I will be exhibiting a new embroidery 'Dwelling' alongside a few zines showing small cabin like dwellings of tiny inhabitants or spirits of 'The Eastern Forests', as part of a secret club's exhibition next week. Expedition No.1: The Eastern Forests
(Danish title: Ekspedition No.1: De Østre Skove)

Explore The Eastern Forests, where 14 Danish and international artists have joined a secret club and created fabulous works of art, that tell of the forests and the animals, tribes, plants, and beings that live there.
Rest in the Supplies Café with coffee and cake. Solve a HAMA bead sudoku or have a go at our collage-material pick'n'mix. Follow on Twitter or Facebook to see which cakes are fresh out of the oven and when.
Free family workshops: Thursday 17th April between 2pm and 5pm and Monday 21st April from 1pm-4pm, you can drop in and learn how to look like one of the creatures of The Eastern Forests.
Visit us on Saturday 19th April between 2pm and 5pm to make a glorious medal, fit for the most intrepid explorers.
Both workshops can be completed in approx.20 minutes, but if you're having fun, it can take a lot longer.

As the Sahara sand and our pollution moved north and created a soupy haze, I went up to Harrogate on Thursday to collect visual material for a series of embroideries I will be displaying in the window of Baa Ram Ewe on Cold Bath Road. I had a walk around Valley Gardens, visited the curious Royal Pump Room Museum and Mercer Art Gallery and took some spiced hot cross buns from Betty's Tea Rooms. I met Katherine of Baa Ram Ewe, who amongst other things curates the window I'll be displaying work in - check out her work here.
I'll be installing my work on Monday 2 June 2014 - Sunday 29 June 2014 and posting updates here in the run up.
Forgot to mention this but an illustration of mine was included in 'MICHAEL CROWE COLLABORATES WITH...' by Michael Crowe published by Studio Operative and features artists interpreting that famous pose of Grace Jones on the cover of Island Life. The book was published alongside an install by Michael at Good Press last year.
