I'm so grateful for Emma and Lisabelle for entrusting me with illustrating these beautiful poems. I produced four illustrations for the collection along with an illustration for the cover. Food bookplates for sale

I've had lots of ideas for these bookplates and finally put pen to paper to draw these up. They are roughly A6, but slightly smaller due to being hand cut. The four designs are a cooking pot, a cut pie, kitchen scales and the contents of a spice rack. They are printed onto 80gsm paper with room to write your name, a gift recipients name or your address. Suitable for any of your cookbooks, notebooks, food non fiction. For sale on my Etsy for £3.50 (including postage).

Cheese - Issue 1

I was really pleased to produce these illustrations for the first issue of 'Cheese' magazine, put together by Holly Catford, Anna Sulan Masing and Apoorva Sripathi.

I worked with art director Holly Catford to illustrate two parallel pieces by Emma Hughes on Tomme de Savoie and Apoorva Sripathi on Tomme de Semancheri from The Farm, Chennai. I also drew a portrait of Maria Luisa Jarava to accompany her interview.

You can purchase a copy from the website here.

Illustration for 'Culinary Dead Ends' by assorted writers for Vittles, London

I loved creating this illustration for 'Culinary Dead Ends' for a Vittles piece that includes contributions by Apoorva Sripathi, Aaron Vallance, Jason Okundaye and Anna Parker. I developed the idea from the Jonathan's idea of a culinary family tree. I drew each active hand accompanied by a slowly dying plant entwined around the hands. I was sent a selection of the pieces and focussed on Ovocne knedliky (Czech dumplings with apricots, Anna Parker), blood filloas (Marie Anne Benavente) and Algerian couscous variations (Leila Gamaz). You can read the article here.

I created these illustrations for writer Carole Wright's 'Strolling 'Round Brixton', the third online edition of 'Walk It, Talk It', South London Gallery's monthly heritage tour. Focusing on the locations of personal importance and exploring connections to local Black British History, Carole considers how these places have changed and are changing.
