Lots of planets have a North

'Lots of planets have a North' is a project by Emma Jackson and Claire Biddles exploring the North of England as it is imagined, lived, dreamed of, in words & pictures. The publication is designed by Kate Dunstone, which was released in Summer 2014. You can view the project on their Tumblr.

I was really pleased to have my embroidery 'Haworth Pub' included in the project.

A Letter in Mind - The National Brain Appeal

I made a drawing for 'A Letter in Mind' which was held at gallery@oxo. The exhibition has been a great success for The National Brain Appeal – with over 1000 visitors during the week, 136 works sold and more than £10,000 raised - which is great! I was inspired by a walk (and the drawing which has been used on a couple of my ceramics as well).

You can see all the artworks here and find out more about The National Brain Appeal here.

Love and other indoor sports

Two years ago, I received a message from Karys Rhiann who was curating a project on first love which became The Something Fine Project. I submitted an old piece rather a new piece I made around the time of my first love, as it's a subject I couldn't and wouldn't make new work on.

Karys has included my illustration in the third issue of her zine 'Love and other indoor sports'. You can buy the zine here or check out her Facebook here. I've uploaded a few pictures from the wonderful parcel I was sent with issues two and three of the zine.
